In 2013, I proudly graduated 'summa cum laude' from the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, earning a Master's degree in Drama with a focus on theatre and music. Since then, my journey in the world of theater has been a rich tapestry of experiences.
I have had the privilege of contributing as an actress, writer, and theater maker with esteemed companies, including:
Since 2014, I've been an integral part of Antwerp based company 'Compagnie Lodewijk/Louis', lending my acting skills to noteworthy productions such as 'Orpheus,' 'De Man die over de Draad kwam,' 'Titus', 'De Kraken' and 'Hamlet Hamletsson'. I played characters in all of these pieces and created the music score for most of them.
'Luxemburg vzw,' where I was involved in productions for children like: 'Ik zie, ik zie wat jij niet ziet en het is' (2015), a crossover theater piece where the visual art of Meryem Bayram was interwoven with the theater and music that I wrote and performed live, together with Meryem.
2016
Additionally, I founded my own children's theater company called 'Symfonie Schnitzel,' bringing to life the music-theatrical production 'Ons Land' for age 6. An adventurous comedy about two people on a philosophical quest, meeting strange and funny characters. I wrote the music for this play and performed it live together with my wonderful collegue and dearest friend Laura De Vries.
2018 - 2024
The collaboration extended to nenowned 'Theater FroeFroe', where I participated in the production of 'Titus', a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus and later created 'Killie Billie' about two parents divorcing and the impact of it all on a little child called Billie. Together with my band Fortress I wrote the music for this theater piece and performed in it as well. We went on a couple of big tours, playing about 45 shows each tour.
In 2023 I worked together with my dear friend Jaouad Alloul, in a co-production with Toneelhuis, Antwerp. Together with a big group of talented actors and skilled musicians we brought 'Venus In Libra' to the stage, a colourful punk-queer-concert in which I played the part of 'DJ Vulva', the DJ of the night club.
